Browns – Bluewater

On a whole, I was very happy with the service, food and the interior decoration in this restaurant. I will definitely be visiting there again.

My boyfriend and I visited Browns for a midweek date night during the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme. It took quite a while to get a reservation as it is always booked up but we finally managed to get one after lots of recommendations.

We arrived around 6:30pm and we were taken to our table by a really kind man at the front. We were given a really nice little table at the back of the restaurant which was well lit and not too loud. Overall, the interior decoration is lovely, dim lit and very posh – I loved the big bar in the middle of the restaurant! It doesn’t feel like you’re in Bluewater so, if you go there, try and dress up a little nicer.

Firstly, we ordered two of their ‘strawberry royales’ – I love strawberry cocktails and what made it even better was the fact that Martin got 50% off the cocktails as he works for the NHS! (it’s not what you know it’s who you know…) We also ordered a Coca Cola each and a jug of water for the table (we clearly can’t make our minds up on drinks)

We were told by lots of people to get the steak however I wasn’t really fancying steak so I ended up getting the asparagus and butternut squash curry and Martin got the steak and Guinness pie. The food took about 20 minutes to come out which was great, especially because I was absolutely starving. I don’t usually go for vegan options as I find them quite boring however, the curry tasted amazing! It was packed full of flavour, it filled me up perfectly and it was just so tasty! Martin also said that his food was delicious – he doesn’t usually get pie so we both went out of our comfort zone a little and it definitely paid off.

Once we had finished, we were way to stuffed for dessert so went straight for the bill. To be honest, I was a little disappointed as they only allowed us to have 50% off one of the cocktails as we only had one NHS card, but I was still happy to get it. Overall the bill came to around £38 which is such a great price, especially for four drinks and two mains!

On a whole, I was very happy with the service, food and the interior decoration in this restaurant. I will definitely be visiting there again.
