Overall Hotel Room Rating
I stayed in Tower Suites with my boyfriend (Martin) and his family for a cute weekend away. When we first arrived, it took a while to check in as they lost our booking and got confused as Martin’s family checked in before us but, the staff were pretty nice and helpful.
We went upstairs to our room and oh my goodness it was AMAZING! We had a little living room area, a bedroom with a huge bed, four wardrobe spaces and a very well lit mirror (the perfect area to do makeup) and finally a beautiful, modern wet room with an amazing shower!
Overall, as Martin works for the NHS, we ended up paying £79 for the Saturday night and we were lucky enough to have Martin’s parents pay for the first night for us (which would have been £120). Even though this sounds expensive, the room was beautiful and certainly worth the money!
We paid for breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday mornings and, to be completely honest, it wasn’t the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The Saturday morning was better but I a continental breakfast (£7.99), this was nice and it had a lot of dairy free options which is quite rare in buffet breakfasts! Then, on the Sunday morning, I opted for the full English (£9.99), this wasn’t great. The food was cold and just not very appetising so I ended up eating a yoghurt and then leaving! The full English would’ve been better if you could see what they were serving (instead of them getting it for you) and also if it was heated while being left on the side, as a cold breakfast is not very nice when you have a hangover…
We had a very pleasant sleep however, on the Saturday night, the room nextdoor were having a party and making SO much noise so we had to go downstairs and tell the concierge to call up and get them to be quiet as it was going on until about 2am!
Apart from the breakfast and the party, our stay was amazing and the hotel is right next to Tower Bridge (literally a 2 minute walk down the road) so we had a lovely 1am walk over Tower Bridge before we went back to go to sleep. It is also 10 minutes away from Borough Market which is amazing if you fancy trying some fresh, independent food stalls!
If you want a VERY comfy bed and a luxurious hotel room, then pick Tower Suites, just make sure that you venture out for breakfast and experience what London has to offer!
