Makcari’s – Herne Bay

My friend Scarlett and I wanted to stop off to get a hot chocolate at a nearby café in Herne Bay before we carried on with our walk (because our hands were FREEZING). I also wanted to try a hot chocolate from there because Scarlett said how amazing they were and I had also seen lots of people raving about it online.

Our boyfriends went into the café to get our hot chocolates because we both forgot our masks (typical…). We asked for cream and marshmallows and when they came out they looked so good! The marshmallows were put underneath the cream which is slightly different to how I would usually have it but it still tasted amazing.

The hot chocolate didn’t just have marshmallows and cream, it also had a flake on top! I gave the flake to Martin because it was dark chocolate and I’m not a massive fan of dark chocolate but it was still so tasty. I also thought that it was much sweeter than a usual hot chocolate and I think that is because the marshmallows were in the hot chocolate instead of on top.

Overall, the hot chocolate was great! The only thing I would change would be the flake and I would have probably put the marshmallows on top of the cream (just a personal preference of mine!)

If you’re looking to have a quick hot drink break during your beach walk, I would definitely stop at Makcari’s and grab yourself a hot chocolate!
