Myself and my friend Scarlett visited Darland Banks for a walk on Sunday. I wasn’t too keen on going for a long walk (but it ended up being 10k!) We decided to choose Darland Banks because there are a few different routes that you can take and it has a beautiful view!
We walked around Darland banks for around half a hour. We first walked down Star Lane, which is a closed off country road that you can walk down which will take you to a large farmers field (which I’ve shown below)

If you choose not to take the Star Lane route, you can actually walk along the Banks which is the place that has the beautiful view! It is great for dog walks or even just a short walk alone to clear the mind. The paths are not too muddy and, sometimes there are cows on the banks that you can go and see!

Darland Banks is also a lovely place for you to visit if you want to see a beautiful sunrise/sunset! Just make sure that the weather is good enough before you go there. I say this because my friend Amy and I woke up at 4am one morning during the summer lockdown to see the sunrise and it was cloudy so the sunrise was no where to be seen!
If you visit the Kent Wildlife Trust website you will see that Darland Banks is home to many different species of wildlife. If you have a passion for nature and wildlife, it is a great place to visit. You can count how many different animals you see along the way!
Anyway, If you want to walk somewhere with a beautiful view and lots of different routes, Darland Banks is the perfect place for you!
