Martin and I visited Harbour Hotel’s ‘HARbar’ during our stay on Saturday night. This is central in the hotel and is beautifully decorated with a large, stunning bar in the middle. The restaurant had a lovely holiday theme, with lots of outdoor seating, white furniture and long sliding doors – it really made me feel as if I was having dinner abroad!
To begin, I was very impressed with the staff as they were very polite, welcoming and they sat us down immediately. As soon as we sat down, one of the waiters came straight over to take our drinks orders which I thought was great. I ordered a full-fat coke and Martin got a Peroni – they took around 5 minutes to come to our table.
We then went onto ordering our food. We decided to go for the bread and oil and the Lamb Kofta for starters and then for mains we got the vegan pad Thai and the HARburger. Again, service was very quick, it only took around 10 minutes for the starters to arrive and about 15 minutes for the mains to come out which I thought was very good! I particularly liked the way they checked up on us to ensure we had enough to drink and to see if we were enjoying our food.

As we stayed in the hotel, our room came with breakfast so we went back there in the morning. We both got a fry up and a plate of different pastries. The fry up is usually around £17 which I thought was quite expensive so I was glad that we had it included!
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at the HARbar restaurant, the staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and the vibe was so lovely. If you want to feel like you’re on holiday, this is the restaurant to go too!
