I finally got to visit the famous ‘Coppa Club’ that had been all over my TikTok account for some time. After having an outdoor igloo for my birthday back in March, I decided to kick it up a notch and go for the real deal right on the Thames! After spending two hours trying to book this place and waiting in a virtual queue, four of us from work got a train up to London a few months later to see what all the hype was about.
Upon arrival, we had to wait about five minutes to be seen and then we were seated in the ‘waiting area’ while they got our table ready. I wasn’t too happy about this as it took quite a while to be seated and we were only allocated two hours so I was conscious of losing time. After waiting around 20 minutes, we were finally seated by a lovely waiter who was very polite and funny. Unfortunately, it was raining so it wasn’t the most ideal weather however, the igloos were heated and all under cover which was perfect.
First impressions of the restaurant were…wow! You get a full, beautiful view of Tower Bridge and the Thames which is absolutely breathtaking. As we went around 7:15, it was still quite light however, when it gets dark, the view is even more beautiful. The igloos are stunning, they have a modern, chic feel to them with lots of flowers and a lovely table and chairs. I can definitely understand why Coppa Club are always sold out!
We decided to go for some cocktails first so all of us ordered a Pornstar Martini which was absolutely delicious. The drinks took around 10 minutes to come to our table which wasn’t too bad at all. We then all ordered a starter and a main course. Please see my orders below:
- Starter: Crispy Fried Squid
- Main: Corn-Fed Half Chicken
We also ordered some lovely warm bread, prawns, and truffle fries (which were so nice!)

In terms of the food, I thought the starter was lovely and potentially the best fried squid I have ever had however, I was let down by the main. The chicken was lovely and moist however it was quite bland and didn’t seem to have a lot of flavour to it. I was also slightly disappointed that it only came with a small side salad, I was hoping for some chips, but you had to order those separately as a side dish.
Our bill total came to around £220, which was surprisingly reasonable considering we each had: a starter, a main, sides, alcoholic drinks and a few desserts/coffees. When you book a Coppa Club Igloo, you have a minimum spend of £120 so it is worth going with a few people.
Overall, it was a lovely experience! The view was beautiful and the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere, with polite and attentive staff. We were impressed with the food however my main course could have had a little more flavour so I think I would try something else if I was to go again. Despite this, I would urge people to try out the Coppa Club igloos, your experience will be far from disappointing!
