Sundar Rachana – Rainham, Kent.

Overall, I couldn't fault Sundar Rachana at all. It is a stunning, well-presented Indian restaurant in Kent with incredible tasting food and amazing staff. Thank you so much for having me, I will certainly be returning again VERY soon!

I visited Sundar Rachana in Rainham for my boyfriend’s mum’s Birthday and I can honestly say I was very impressed! There were 6 of us in total and we had a table booked for 8:30pm but we arrived around 8pm. Despite arriving early, the staff were extremely attentive and sat us down at the bar and brought some drinks over immediately.

The restaurant itself was very busy however they handled it very well (a busy restaurant clearly shows how amazing they are!) As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with large, stunning wooden beams from the old barn structure – something I have never seen before in an Indian restaurant but it’s certainly a nice touch.

Once seated, we were greeted straight away and had our drinks and starter orders taken. All of the staff that we spoke to were so lovely and constantly on watch to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our starters only took around 10 minutes to arrive and they were absolutely delicious. We had a mixture of dishes, from samosas to crab cakes and there were certainly no complaints!

Once finished, we ordered our food straight away and again, It only took about 15 minutes to come out which is so great, especially with 6 people at the table! I decided to go for a classic Chicken Tikka Masala but our table had dishes ranging from Lamb Chops to a Chicken Madras. I didn’t manage to get any images of our food (because I was SO hungry) so I asked the staff to send me some of their images which you can see below:

The images above were not taken by me however each and every dish came out looking exactly like this!

We were certainly not disappointed with our mains. They tasted incredible, the flavours were on point and it was cooked to perfection – The Peshwari Naan stole the show though! After our mains, they brought out a Birthday cake (that I gave in at the beginning) for Martin’s mum. They all sang Happy Birthday and helped make it feel very special.
